I've always wondered whether Great Britain and the United Kingdom were synonymous. Now I know: they are not. I do wonder, though, if people from Northern Ireland really call themselves Northern Irish (appropriate according to this video) rather than Irish or British (both inappropriate according to this video). If anyone has been to Northern Ireland and posed this question to the locals, please share the answer.
