Repackaging K-State Libraries

One of our goals in our new strategic plan is to create a consistent brand for K-State Libraries.   A few of us have a modest proposal, based on recent research regarding the increased likelihood of children eating and enjoying anything packaged by McDonald's--including carrots.  Because, really, despite the  terrifying reality that anything packaged by McDonald's is going to sell better, we should take advantage of that primo branding.

  • Golden Arches--anywhere you see the Golden Arches on campus, you'll find a library or librarian
  • Pump the subtle fragrance of cooking french fries throughout Hale Library for a more delectable library experience
  • Change the color of the boring black computers to red and gold
  • A toy with every check out
  • Drive through service--complete with a giant menu of every book in the Libraries' collection and incomprehensible speaker
  • Free refills
  • Nutrition guides--all materials are 100% fat free!
  • New PlayLand on Coffman Commons!  Children under 18 must be attended by a parent or guardian.

K-State Libraries . . . I'm lovin' it!
