With the end of the semester approaching a little too fast, this is presentation season. How many presentations will you be giving in the next few weeks? And how many times will you use PowerPoint for these presentations? K-State Libraries is here to help. You can check out electronic and print books about PowerPoint. In fact we currently have 19 books about PowerPoint. To find the PowerPoint books go to the K-State Libraries’ homepage (http://www.lib.ksu.edu) and click on Catalog on the top purple bar. Then type “microsoft powerpoint” in the Search for: box. From the Search by: menu on the right, scroll down and select “Subject Heading.” Click the Search button. Then choose “Microsoft PowerPoint (Computer File).” You will see a list of everything available about PowerPoint.
Cautionary Note: Starting out by searching in the Catalog for something by subject can be risky because you have to know before you search exactly which terms to use to find what you want. The keyword search option would usually be your best bet. However, I checked ahead of time for you and discovered that what I normally call “PowerPoint” is actually called “Microsoft PowerPoint (Computer File)” as a subject in the Catalog.
