Update Monday, 11/26/12 at 10:10am:
Access to SpringerLink e-journals via all Get It services has been restored and appears to be working correctly. However, you may still experience slow response times and/or "Unhandled Error" messages from Springer today while their migration process continues. These seem to occur most often during article-level linking. The best workarounds I've found so far are to either reload the SpringerLink page (Ctrl+R or Ctrl+F5 on your keyboard) or wait a few minutes and try again.

Update Monday, 11/26/12 at 9:30am:
Access to SpringerLink via the Databases Directory is working fine, but access to individual Springer e-journals via SFX (Get It menu, A-Z list, Citation Linker) is not. If you are helping a user with a Get It-related access problem to a Springer e-journal, the best workaround will be going directly to the SpringerLink platform (use the link on the Databases Directory) and browsing to the journal or article in question.

On Monday, 11/26/12, Springer will be migrating all North American customers to its new SpringerLink platform. This change affects our access to SpringerLink and Springer e-journals, but not to SpringerMaterials or SpringerProtocols.
Remote access to the new SpringerLink platform has already been ensured via EZproxy, so off-campus users should not experience problems different from any experienced by on-campus users.
Springer is implementing a redirect from the old platform to the new platform. Springer has not given us a time at which the migration will occur, but once it is complete this redirect will route all clicks on the old platform's URL to the new platform. This redirect will affect the SpringerLink entry in the databases directory as well as links to Springer e-journals available through the EJournals list, Citation Linker, catalog, and Get It menu. We will be working throughout the day on Monday, 11/26, to transfer linking in these locations over to the new platform. However, there will be some period of time when users must rely on the redirect in order to access the SpringerLink content they have requested. We have not been able to test the redirect since it is not yet in place, so we can't predict how well it will work for all our methods of accessing SpringerLink content.
Springer has indicated that individual accounts on the old SpringerLink platform will not be migrated to the new platform. This will only affect users who have set up individual accounts for TOC alerts, saved searches, and the like. These users will need to create a new account on the new platform once the migration is complete.
Any issues with the migration will be added to this post as they occur.
