UStat - Usage Statistics Service downtime

I would like to inform you that the Usage Statistics Service will be unavailable between Friday, May 17^th at 04:00 a.m. GMT (00:00 EDT, 06:00 Central European Time) and Monday 07 a.m. GMT (03:00 EDT, 09:00 Central European Time) as part of planned maintenance work for server improvements.

 

Wiley-Blackwell downtime April 13th/14th

We are contacting you to provide you with advanced warning of some planned maintenance and downtime that will affect products on Blackwell Reference Online and The Cochrane Library. This maintenance work will ensure the websites Wiley hosts are more robust and less susceptible to unplanned outages. In order to perform this upgrade it is necessary to take the site offline for up to 12 hours over a weekend. After consultation we have identified the least disruptive date for all our customers as the weekend of April 13th/14th.

The websites will be unavailable for no more than 12 hours starting at 9pm London time / 4pm New York time on Saturday 13th April 2013. During this time, due to the nature of the work we cannot show a maintenance note so anyone trying to access the site will get a “Site not found” or similar message.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to you and your website users.

There will be an estimated downtime of two hours for all Alexander Street products.

Wiley Online Library Down

UPDATE: Wiley is up and running again. Thank you for your patience.

Please be advised Wiley Online Library is down this morning. This affects both Get It links and the Wiley link in the A-Z list. Connections are either painfully slow or are not made at all. I am in contact with Wiley support, but there is no word as to when linking to Wiley Online will be back to normal.

ARTstor upgrade

Please be advised that ARTstor will be performing an upgrade to our systems beginning on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 PM EST and concluding on Sunday, January 27th at 1:00 PM EST. While the upgrade is being performed, users will not have access to the ARTstor Digital Library.            

              During this time, we will be bringing our new Oracle
server online. This improvement constitutes a major upgrade to our
infrastructure; for more details, please see Oracle's press release.

Get It Link Errors

This issue has been fixed as of 1:16 PM 1/25/2013. All Get It links in the catalog should be operating normally.

The Get It Links in some SFX records in the catalog are failing. This is due to an incorrect URL. If you run into an issue following the Get It link in a catalog record, replace the URL's prefix from http://getit.lib.ksu/sfxlcl13?url to http://getit.lib.ksu.edu/sfxlcl3?url and you should be directed to the Get It menu with no further issues.

This is only a temporary fix. We are currently working on the issue and should get it resolved soon. Thanks for your patience.

Update on Adis content on the Springer platform

We would like to provide you with an update on the availability of the Adis content on the Springer platform.

At
the end of 2012 we informed you that some customers were experiencing
problems accessing their entitlements and/or backfile content from Adis
on the new SpringerLink/Springer for R&D platform.  As a temporary
solution, we have provided you with dual access to both the Springer
platform and AdisOnline.com, whilst we continue to work on a resolution.

Most
access problems are not caused by missing entitlements, but by missing
content on the Springer platform. We apologise sincerely for any
inconvenience this causes and are working on adding all missing content.

The status of content availability as of today, 22nd January 2013, is as follows:

SpringerLink and Springer for R&D

Journal content:
Across the whole portfolio dating back to 1997, there are approximately
133 issues missing. This number should be decreasing daily as the
content is being processed. We expect to have all missing issues
available on the platform by mid-February.

AdisOnline.com

The
old platform will remain active until the end of February and offers
the complete backfile of all titles. 2013 content is still also being
uploaded to this platform, although it may appear in the Published
ahead-of-print section before being compiled into an issue.

All of our customers have been offered dual access on these two platforms and this will run until the end of February 2013.

In
the meantime, we do ask you to sign in to the new Springer platform to
check that you have access and that all of your entitlements are
correct. Any missing entitlements or queries about the platform should
be reported to onlineservice@springer.com. To
help us respond to your enquiry as quickly as possible, please include
details of your subscription, institution name (if applicable), missing
access and a screenshot of the site footer where your IPs are listed.
