K-State Libraries is looking for a student to assist in editing and improving our website. While a technology-related major would be helpful for a student in this position, we also are looking for students with technical writing, visual literacy, or communication experience and coursework. There will be training provided for the student in this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Writing, editing, and organizing web-friendly OR web-appropriate content that is user-friendly and accessible.
- Helping to promote the Libraries’ online resources
- Researching trends and collecting examples of online library tools and guides
- Assisting with the development of online learning tools
Required Skills:
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to succeed in a team-based work environment
- Experience completing tasks as self-directed worker
- Willingness and excitement to learn on the job
- Availability for 10-20 hours/week of work between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Preferred Skills:
- Graphic design coursework and/or experience
- HTML/CSS coursework and/or experience
