The Antikythera Mechanism: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLPVCJjTNgk is the oldest known scientific computer, built in Greece at around 100 BCE. Lost for 2000 years, it was recovered from a shipwreck in 1901. It wasn't until 2006 that high resolution X-rays revealed the purpose: to predict celestial events and eclipses with amazing accuracy. The device has been recreated in Legos. The YouTube shows how it looks and works.
That's really interesting. Thanks for posting!
