The Library Information and Support for Technology team at Hale Library is looking for two (2) Student Specialists to work 15 hours per week, Monday
through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. It is also a requirement that
candidates work during the summer or school breaks. Necessary skills
include troubleshooting, multiple OS experience, customer service, and
the ability to work independently. Candidates should be able to work at
least 2 hour blocks of time.
Duties include:
- Providing desktop support to K-State Libraries staff computing equipment (approximately 250 machines)
- Assisting library staff with computer issues – on the phone or in person
- Maintaining shared machines, laptops, and public scanners
- Assisting with projects involving imaging and software installation
- Assisting with projects such as inventory and maintaining needs database
On the job training will be provided.
