Verde > URM Roadmap: (if seems like a repeat, it is - plans have not changed RE: Verde)
ERM is evolving and will continue to evolve
Need for lower TCO; fewer systems, not more!, with richer functionality and consolidated workflows.
Ergo, URM is needed.
URM v.1 will include support for print, electronic, digital resources. Estimated beta delivery to development partners in late 2011.
Verde customers will receive full ERM functionality for no additional license fees.
Ex Libris's commitment to Verde:
Will continue to support, implement, and maintain Verde v.2 with quarterly service packs and monthly KB updates.
Support a centralized COUNTER reporting service - UStat - with SUSHI support added in April 2010.
Will continue supporting work with SFX - will support a harvesting mechanism for SFX v.4 data, or sites may continue to use SFX v.3 until URM.
In the meantime, Verde continues close association with SFX v.3.
SFX 4 Upgrade (July 2010) - will be available before harvesting program. Harvester estimated to be available by Q4 2010. The harvesting and other program changes will be made available in Verde via a SW update and will arrive in a dormant state.
UStat - hosted, entitled to as either a Verde or SFX customer, readily adapted to iterative nature of COUNTER standard. SUSHI support is currently limited to 7 vendors because these are the ones that work right now. Customers should feel free to contact publishers from whom they want to get usage data via SUSHI and encourage them to provide this service and, if necessary, encourage them to work with Ex Libris to make sure it works with UStat.

SFX v.4 is coming July 2010; close association will continue, but with some adjustments. There is information in DocPortal on the adjustments and Nettie's webinar has a recording available upon request [JBK note: I've viewed this webinar and it's very informative. K-Staters, if you want access to this webinar just email me].With SFX 3/Verde 2, sync moves from Verde to SFX - from back office work to end user view.
SFX 4 has a different database structure which will make for a slimmer, faster update process. Means substantial change to how Verde and SFX can communicate. Data flow between SFX 4 and Verde 2 will be different. Verde will harvest data from SFX 4 for management purposes. Not a true "sync", and will replace KB updates in Verde. Verde KB will get updated KB data through the SFX 4 harvest. Sync will be discontinued for customers who move to SFX 4. Will continue to support Verde KB updates and SFX 3 updates for sites who don't want to move to SFX 4 and want to keep sync.SFX 4 Upgrade (July 2010) - will be available before harvesting program.
